Five HRMS with standout analytics functionality

Updated:

Over the past several years, organizations have shifted from siloed, retrospective reporting to real-time, predictive people analytics that inform decisions across the employee lifecycle.

With this in mind, there’s no better time to highlight five systems that pack a punch when it comes to built-in analytics.

1. SAP SuccessFactors

SAP’s SuccessFactors system gathers talent data from a variety of sources (core HR data, talent management records, engagement survey results, even financial metrics) to produce powerful analytics and insights on a range of workforce issues, including employee engagement, diversity, performance, and turnover

In recent years, SAP has integrated SuccessFactors with its Analytics Cloud technology, bringing more advanced, AI-driven analytics and predictive capabilities into the mix. Self-service is a key feature, giving managers and leaders direct access to a wide range of workforce metrics, supported by on-screen guidance and explanations to assist in interpretation and application. These, along with built-in benchmarks allow users to compare their organization’s metrics with relevant peers and competitors.

2. Visier

Visier is a dedicated people analytics platform aimed largely at enterprise organizations. It integrates data from multiple HR systems to provide a unified, consistent view of workforce analytics.

The platform offers all the usual predictive focus areas: reducing resignations, better recruitment decisions, optimized compensation and benefits, and improved workforce planning, all delivered in the cloud and aimed at making better decision-making easier.

Visier has introduced an AI-driven virtual assistant (Vee) that lets users ask questions and receive insights in plain language, putting advanced analytics within reach for any manager.

3. TalentSoft (Cegid)

TalentSoft (now part of Cegid) has been reviewed as one of the smartest, most intuitive, and flexible talent management solutions.

When it comes to analytics, TalentSoft focuses on creating customizable dashboards tailored to individual user needs, supported by ready-made analytics templates for common HR challenges.

The platform is designed to be user-friendly and allows data analysis at both individual and team levels. While micro-level analysis is limited by the data available, it provides a highly focused way to gain insights.

4. Vista

Vista (by PDS) includes a comprehensive analytics module as part of its HRMS package. Tapping directly into the data stored in the system, Vista’s analytics offering includes a full set of pre-defined analytics templates (over 100 out-of-the-box reports, each of which is fully customizable.

The user dashboards are highly configurable too, with ease of use is ensured by PDS’ provision of full training in the system’s tools and in general HR analytics, statistics, and data modeling.

5. ADP DataCloud

ADP DataCloud is the AI-powered analytics module included across ADP’s HR and payroll platforms. It provides powerful reporting and benchmarking, allowing you to compare your workforce metrics against industry aggregates drawn from ADP’s vast client base.

The module also uses predictive analytics to spot trends and potential issues; for example, flagging departments with rising turnover risk, so you can take proactive measures. For companies already using ADP for HR, DataCloud turns existing data into actionable people insights without requiring a separate analytics system.

Key takeaways

HR analytics and people analytics tools have come a long way since this article was originally published, evolving with new AI capabilities and greater ease of use. Whether you choose an all-in-one HRMS with strong analytics or a specialized people analytics platform, the goal is the same: to turn HR data into actionable insights that drive better decisions about your people.
